Kim Kardashian reveals struggling for a second baby spoilt her sex life

Kim Kardashian has admitted the problems of getting pregnant with her second child "took the fun," out of sex with husband Kanye West and that she doesn't know if she will have any more children. She told C Magazine

"Yes, it takes the fun out of it. I’m like, 'I’m ovulating, get home now!' He’d be like, 'Wait, I’m in the studio."
"It was over a year of trying, and I had so many complications,I had this condition called placenta accreta. There were a couple of little operations to fix all that, so that created a little hole in my uterus, which I think made it really tough to get pregnant again."

On getting pregnant again,she said
"They think I’ll have placenta accreta again, so if the placenta grows a little bit deeper than it did last time, then they are prepared to have my uterus removed, which is a little scary for me,"I think we’re just gonna go day by day, see how overwhelming it is, and see how the delivery goes."

PHOTOS: Man With No Arms Works On Farm, Cares For Sick Mother

Meet a man who lost his arms in an accident as a child but didn’t stop caring for his sick mother and their farm in Tongxin Village of Fengdu County, China.

Scroll down to see all the inspiring photos!

Chen Xingyin, 48, was electrocuted when he was just seven years old. Since then the boy has learnt how to cook, do household chores, look after livestock and cultivate two hectares of farmland using only his feet.
And even when his ageing mother, who is now 91 years, became paralysed and confined to bed Chen refused to give up.

Now he is the only one who runs his smallholding of farmland and raises a flock of 24 sheep, two buffalos and four hens.

Surprisingly, the disabled man does not complain complain of his destiny, trying to do as many things himself as possible.

Sometimes he even finds the strength and time to help his neighbours.

Xingyin, who feeds his mother with his mouth and his nimble toes, said, “I can’t leave my mother at home alone, especially not in her old age. I may not have hands, but I have a pair of good feet.”
After a series of photographs depicting Chen spoon-feeding his mother emerged, he has become an example to follow and a hero of Chinese and international media.

Khloe Kardashian is my wife.. Any man dating her is wasting his time-Lamar Odom

Lamar Odom seems to have realized Khloe is his soulmate and he made a mistake signing those divorce papers.Speaking to Intouch Magazine, Lamar who referred to Khloe as his wife said about their most recent public encounter.....

“We spoke [beforehand]A misunderstanding between me and my wife became public. It’s hurtful. That woman is my wife. Without the ring on my finger. [Even] with her picture being taken with another man, that woman is my wife.”“She’s [my] soul mate," I can’t control it. We’ll never part. I would never consider myself serious with another woman. To sum it up, if a man is attempting to court Khloé, he’s probably wasting his time. And the weirdest part about it is because I really know how she feels about me.”

The Origins And History Of Ika People Of Anioma

Agbor consists of 23 villages and a metropolis called Orogodo (Boji-Boji). The villages are as follow: (i) Ogbemudein, (ii) Ihaikpen, (iii) Ogbeisore, (iv) Ihogbe, (v) Alifekede, (vi)Omumu, (vii) Alisor, (viii) Alilehan,(ix) Alisor, (x) Ewuru, (xi) Alisimien, (xii) Aliokpu (xiii) Idumu-Oza, (xiv) Obielihe, (xv) Ogbeisogban, (xvi) Alizomo, (xvii) Ozanogogo (Ozzara), (xviii) Ekuku Agbor, (xix) Alihami, (xx) Alihagwu, (xxi) Oki, (xxii) Emuhun, (xxiii) Boji-Boji Agbor.

According to Iwueze Chukwu Ebuke and Iwueze Awele Success, “The villages of Alisor, Alilehan and Ozanogogo are not Ika speaking. They speak an Edoid language known especially to Ika speakers, as Oza or Ozara”.

From several sources available for study, we learn that the headquarters of Agbor were moved to different quarters of the community perhaps because the people needed to survive the constant wars it entered into with Benin. The existence of the kingdom meant continuous relocation of its headquarters in search of safety. The most recent of these headquarters was Ime-obi (1935).

Owa

Owa is certainly one of the largest Ika communities. It shares boundaries with Agbor, Abavo, Idumuesah, Umunede and Ute-Okpu. Interestingly, some of Owa communities are found in Edo State such as Iru and Owariuzor (Evbu Obanosa).

Owa is an example of Ika community with dual Nri and Benin origin. Oyibu or Owa Oyibu was founded by Odogu the son of Ijie (Ijue) of Ute Okpu from Nri, in present South Eastern part of the country. Other villages in the community had their settlers migrating from Benin (Forde and Jones, 1967) and other Agbor areas (Iwueze Chukwu Ebuke and Iwueze Awele Success). Owa Eke village was founded by Ekei and his wife who migrated from Benin (Whiting, 1936). Aliero was founded by Omi and his wife who hailed and migrated from Benin.

Owa migration might have begun around 900AD with Nri migrants first settling at Ute-Okpu around 12th and 13th Century led by Ijue. It was from Ute-okpu that Odogu founded Owa Dynasty.

Quarters

Owa comprises seven villages that are: (i) Oyibu, (ii) Owa Alidinma, (iii) Owanta, (iv) Aliro, (v) Alizomor, (vi) Ufie, (vii) Owa Eke, (viii) Boji-Boji Owa (Metropolis)

Umunede

Umunede is another major Ika community. It is strategically located along the busy road thus its commercial importance, if properly harnessed. Umunede is especially situated on a plateau about 15 kilometres from Asaba lying close to other important Ika communities such as Akumazi Umuocha, Ekwuoma, Emuhu and Mbiri. Its location also made it the headquarters of the Second Division of the Nigerian War during the Nigerian Civil War.

Oral tradition of the people believes that Umunede was founded by Ede and his wife, Iye who migrated from Benin and settled in the present land thus the name “Umu Ede” (Children of Ede) which is now “Umunede” that the settlement bears till date.

The date of Umunede’s foundation is traced to the era of Oba Ewedo who reigned 1250-1280 AD. There was probably another wave of migration from Benin during the reign of Oba Ewuare, the Great (1440-1448 AD). Historians are of the opinions that there might have been people before Ede and his wife arrived at the present location of Umunede this is difficult to prove though. Evidences of certain other quarters that existed in the town suggest that there might have been Yoruba settlements in the area between 16th and 19th centuries. Ibos of the South East were the last to join the settlement.

Although, Umunede traces its origin to Benin like most Ika communities, Stranfield (1936) opines that “from Legend they are of Benin descent but in language and social structure they resemble closely the Ibos of Ogwashi and Uburukwu clans in the Asaba Division”.

It is argued that Ede brought the Benin form of leadership to the location. The descendants of Ileje also called Ogele play the traditional role of installing the Obi of Umunede.

Quarters

Umunede has the following four villages: (i) Idumugba, (ii) Ogbe Obi, (iii) Idumuile, (iv) Idumuilege.

Mbiri

Mbiri shares boundaries with Umunede , Agbor , Igbanke , Ekpon and Igbodo.

The oral tradition of Mbiri, one of Ika communities claims that the settlement was founded by a certain man known as Arun (Aren) from Native Doctor’s Quarters in Benin. Arun was said to have migrated from Iwaisi from where he led the migrants that founded Mbiri. The account also states that Arun, the founder of Mbiri had four children who also founded a number of Ika towns including Igbanke.

Some sources may claim that the Ikeze are the aboriginals of the present Mbiri settlement. The implication being that Arun met them on the present land which of course explains the reason behind Ikeze people’s possession of the principal deity of Mbiri Kingdom. In fact, it is the Ogele (Diokpa) of Ikeze that installs the Obi of Mbiri. There are strong evidences that other villages of Mibiri may have arrived from Agbor, Igbodo, Ubulu Uku and Ogwashi Uku. If this is acceptable then Mbiri would historically be a mixture of Edo and Igbo of across the Niger though this is contestable.

Mbiri strategically lies along the Lagos-Benin-Onitsha Expressway thus potentially predisposed to commercial investment. Today, Mbiri proudly hosts a farm settlement covering almost 2,000 hectares of land as well as hosting the only Command Secondary School in the whole of South South geo-political zone of the country.

The principal deity of Mbiri people is “Araba”, a water goddess. Other deities include Mkpitime, Olokun and Ali Uzugbo.

Abavo

Abavo (also known as Awuu) lies close to Agbor community. It also shares border with some Edo speaking communities. This community was said to have been founded by Awu from Awu (Forde and Jones, 1967). By implication, the account believes that Awu, the founder of Abavo hailed from Abavo which to historians seemed very unlikely. The more popular oral account of the people believes that the settlement was founded by Awu but completely differs from Forde and Jones’ account by regarding Awu’s original home as Benin from where he escaped to avoid being offered as sacrifice by the Benin people.

Quarters

Abavo is made up of five quarters namely: (i) Obi-Ayima, (ii) Udomi, (iii) Azuowa, (iv) Igbogili, (v) Ogbe-Obi

Otolokpo

Otolokpo is one Ika community that has not had its history completely researched into but sketchy sources available to it claims that most of its villages were founded by Gbogbo from Benin though it is acknowledged that other migrants from Agbor and Ute-Ogbeje would settle in the town thus forming some of the other villages of the community. Evidences of Otolokpo’s Benin is mostly expressed in the names of its villages.

Quarters

Otolokpo has seven villages that are:

(i) Umuhu, (ii) Idumu-oji, (iii) Ogbe-Obi, (iv) Idumu-Obome, (v) Achala, (vi) Alugba, (vii) Idumu-Okete

Agbor Residents Want Sale Of Fuel Above Govt Rate Probed

THE Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has been urged to investigate the continuous sale of petrol above pump price at Agbor and its environs.

Residents, who spoke to The Pointer in separate interviews, decried the sale of the product above the recommended pump price of N87 by most filling stations, and the under dispensing that has become the order of the day.

According to a civil servant, Mr. Benson Okoh, the situation calls for urgent measures to address the exploitation of the people by the petrol dealers.

He said it has become so alarming that petrol stations within Agbor and Boji Boji Owa ration their sales so that the people will be compelled to buy at whatever price they decide to sell.

Mr. Okoh stated that most stations sell above N110.00 and some N100.00, and called on relevant agencies, particularly IPMAN to come to the aid of the people.

Also, a trader, Chinedu Ubaka, while corroborating Okoh’s position, said the ugly trend deserves government attention, to save the people from enslavement from the hands of petrol stations.

He emphasised that the problem of under dispensing be critically addressed so that consumers of the product can heave sighs of relief.

Ubaka said it is unfortunate, stations within the Ika nation refused to revert to the N87 as recommended by the Federal Government, urging IPMAN to help enforce compliance within Ika Nation.

Meanwhile, investigation by The Pointer revealed that most stations including MRS along Old Lagos Asaba Road, sell N100 per liter, while their meter still maintained the usual N87.00 on the dispensing machine.

The station’s attendant refused to speak with The Pointer when asked about the price being displayed and actual pump price being sold to consumers.

Further investigations showed that it is prevalent within the metropolis, as most stations display the N87.00 on their pump machine while selling above N110.00 to avoid being caught unaware by officials of the various agencies monitoring compliance.

OKOWA SIGNS DESOPADEC AMENDMENT BILL INTO LAW

Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has signed the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) amendment bill into law.

IKA WEEKLY
The bill was signed on Thursday, August 18, 2015 by the governor in the presence of the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya and the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Friday Osanebi, other principal officers of the House as well as the Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Festus Ovie Agas.

Governor Okowa thanked God that the amendment Bill after a rigorous process has been signed into Law and it would tackle the challenges of oil producing communities in the state.Speaking after signing the amendment bill into Law, Governor Okowa said, “You have just witnessed the signing into Law of the DESOPADEC amendment Bill 2015 to the original law of 2006 establishing the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission. This amendment bill was forwarded to the House of Assembly in the course of this administration a few weeks ago and we want to thank God that the House has completed the process of passing into law the amendment bill of 2015 to the original DESOPADEC law.”

“There was a lot of interest when this bill was presented to the House of Assembly and as its customary of Deltans who are very bright and vibrant, a lot of people showed interest and they had the opportunity to contribute their quota towards a robust commission” he said.

He added “I want to thank God that the Delta State House of Assembly took the bill to public hearing and Deltans made their contributions to enrich the bill, there was a lot of engagement and misconception that arose from the fact that some people did not even know what was in the original law and did not know what was contained in the amendment bill that was sent to the House. We thank God that at the end, the bill was in the best interest of Delta State and the oil producing communities in particular.”

The governor noted that, “through this law, we are now establishing a management team for DESOPADEC which will meet with the expectations for which the commission was initially established, membership of the Board remains but now, we have brought in a management structure that can see us through to the future of the commission that we all desire, a commission that will be structured to impact positively on the lives of our people in terms of infrastructural development, social services and economic services.”

The Governor while commending members of the Delta State House of Assembly for their proactive approach to law making called on them to continue to stay vibrant and ensure that they continue to collaborate with the executive arm towards impacting more positively on the lives of Deltans.”

The Governor disclosed that, “there is also another bill in the House which is the Delta State Contributory Health Insurance bill and it is our hope that the House is able to speedily pass that bill into law so that our people will benefit from the intentions of the bill.”

Continuing, “he said it is our hope that despite the challenges of the moment, we will stay focused in bringing prosperity to our people, not only in ensuring a healthy people but in the economy of the family and the development of different sectors of our state.”

Earlier, Rt. Hon. Igbuya had said, the bill was properly looked into by members of the House inspite of all the controversies surrounding the presentation of the bill.

Hon Igbuya observed that the controversies made the members of the public to understand that the bill has no harm, instead, it was actually to bring out the good intensions behind the creation of the commission.

We Need Closer Ties To Battle Insecurity-Okowa

Delta State Governor, Senator, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has called for cooperation and intelligence sharing among neighbouring states in combating crimes and insecurity in the country.

Senator Okowa stated this at the weekend during the 2015 South-East/Delta State Security Summit held in Awka, Anambra State.

He noted that cooperation and intelligence sharing among neighbouring states would go a long way in addressing crime and other security issues besetting the society.

Until state government are able to provide peace and ensure that the people are secured they will not get the right atmosphere for desired investments that are needed for the creation of employment, ”he said.

“I want to thank Governor Willie Obaino of Anambra State for putting us together at the summit and I believe that the cooperation between the states and the people of the various states would help a lot in trying to combat crime”, he added.

The summit which has the theme: “ Security: Bedrock of Governance” was attended by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Willie Obaino (Anambra) and Director-General, Department of State Security, Lawan Musa Daura, among others.

While commending the various security agencies for their efforts on security issues in the zone, Senator Okowa pledged that government in the zone would continue to encourage them on the need for synergy and intelligence sharing in combating crime.

“This summit which is in collaboration with the security agencies in the states with the public participating actively is in the right direction in tackling crime, I believe the sharing of idea particularly between Anambra and Delta States is going to help us a lot in our peace building effort in Delta State as we are just separated by the River Niger and a very short stretch of water so the two states are almost alike,” he said.

“I believe the sharing of ideas, the sharing of intelligence, working together to actually combat crime will help a lot in ensuring a peaceful atmosphere in Delta State,” he added

The governor disclosed that the government was holding talks with the Fulani communities on ways to tackle the menace of cattle rearers, explaining that as part of efforts to engender lasting peace, his administration was looking at the possibility of establishing grazing reserves for cattle rearers.

Earlier, in his address, Governor Willie Obiano said Anambra, Delta and others states in the South-East geo-political zone, had been on the throes of violent crime, kidnapping and armed robbery.

Obiano, who pledged the commitment of governors in the zone towards sustainable peace in the area, said that Delta and Anambra States would continue to collaborate in various areas to bring meaningful development to the people.

He said there was need to forge regional economic front as well as combined counter force against crime, adding that governments in the region were battling a common enemy.

On his part, Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia, called on investors from the region to come home and create jobs to reduce the prevalent crime in the area.

Meanwhile the Inspector-General of Police, Mr Solomon Arase, has said Police will collaborate with the governments of the South-East zone and Delta State to curb armed robbery, kidnapping, cultism and other social vice,
Arase made the pledge in Awka at a South-East/Delta state Security Conference 2015 with the theme “Security, Bedrock of Governance.’’

He said that crime syndicates operate in highly organised networks within the area.
He expressed confidence that the conference would identify ways to replicate the successful security concept being employed in other climes.

He called for sustainable regional security framework, joint operation, funding and the political will by the various levels of government within region to make the approach work.
Arase commended Gov. Willie Obiano of Anambra for organising the conference.

After Months Of Blackout, YEDC Restores Electricity To Mubi, Other Towns

The Yola Electricity Distribution Company has restored electricity supply to Mubi, Gombi and Garkida towns in Adamawa after many months of blackout.

The towns have been without electricity for months due to the destruction of electricity facilities in the areas by Boko Haram insurgents.

The new Acting Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Baba-Umar Mustafa, announced this on Tuesday in Yola while addressing journalists.

Mr. Mustapha said that restoring power to the areas was capital intensive due to the level of damage.

He said the company needed Federal Government’s intervention to restore electricity to Michika, Gwoza, Bama and parts of

Maiduguri and Yobe states as the company’s revenue was not enough to cater for that.

Mr. Mustapha said though the company had been taken over by the government, it was still being run privately without subvention from government.

He urged consumers to reciprocate the recent improvement in the services of the company, particularly the increase in power supply, by settling their bills promptly to sustain it.

“We now have 18 to 20 hours electricity in the zone for the past three months and we hope customers will appreciate by promptly paying their bills”.

Total Shuts Obagi Field As Oil Spill Ravages Niger-Delta Again

Total E&P Nigeria Ltd (TEPNG) said it has stopped exploration of crude on its Obagi-Rumuekpe 12 Oil Export Pipeline in Rivers State following an oil spill. The company suspects the spill was caused by pipeline sabotage.

This will be the second time in a matter of months that the pipeline will be attacked, the first being in May this year.

The Obagi field produces about 35,000 barrels of oil equivalent and 6 million cubic metres (212 million cubic feet) of natural gas per day. However, it is uncertain how much production has been shut in from the field due to the line break, as the company is yet to gain access into the area reputed for its high security volatility.

“The volume of oil spilled and area of impact have not been estimated in view of the highly volatile nature of the area and the security concerns,” a statement from Total, yesterday, read in part: adding that the relevant authorities have been informed.

Total also said in the statement that the spill was discovered “during crude oil expedition operation on August 16, 2015, an abnormal situation was observed as the oil expedited from Obagi was not received at Rumuekpe metering station. Expedition was immediately stopped and a helicopter over-flight was carried out, which revealed oil spill and fresh excavations on the pipeline Right Of Way.”

Oil spills are described as the most difficult environmental disaster to remediate. This is in addition to the loss of livelihood of the locals, who are mostly farmers and attendant health hazards, a development that calls for increased monitoring of the pipelines to ensure their safety.

The Obagi field is located in Oil Mining Lease, OML 58, in which Total E&P is the operator with a 40 percent interest, alongside the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC with 60 percent.

I Don’t Wear Br*s So Men Can Know All I Have – Ghanaian Actress, Efia Odo [PHOTOS]

Rising Ghanaian actress, Efia Odo has revealed the reason she is not at home with bras.

According to her, impressing any man by wearing bras to make her small breasts look big is not one of her concerns. ‘My breasts are small so what’s the point of wearing a bra?’ Efia told eTV Ghana’s Late Night Celebrity Show with Giovanni.

She added: ‘I will like the men to know what they are going to get should they approach. I don’t want to wear push up bras and shifting things and pushing things just to impress. I wear make-up and all but just so you know this is the small things you going to get.’

While she might be new, the budding actress known in private life as Andrea Owusu, is already making the headlines as she continues to be romantically linked to Nigerian pop star, Iyanya..

She claims she was forced to sleep with every male member of the cult during her initiation. Ifechukwu was among 75 suspected cult members who were rounded up by Anambra State Police command. All the suspects were alleged to be members of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity and were all arrested in a bush in Awka during the initiation of new members.

Recovered from them were guns, matchet and several wraps of Indian hemp. According to the state Commissioner of Police, Hosea Karma, the police acted on an intelligence report that the cult members and their new entrants were in a bush performing some rituals. Part of their ritual, he explained, includes sleeping with prospective female members. He said they do that in order to secure their oath of secrecy. It was during the raid that 16-year-old Ifechukwu was arrested. At the police station, Ifechukwu, a secondary school dropout and member, claimed that she had to travel to Anambra from Abuja just to witness the initiation of new members.

“I joined them three months ago and during my initiation, I was forced to have s*x with every registered member of the cult present that night. I was given a sedative so as not to feel what they were doing. It was not easy, but I bore the pain,” she said. Her parents, who are from Anambra State, are still alive. However, Ifechukwu said that they were not aware of her secret cult activities. “I got to know about the cult activity through a friend. She assured me that all the connection that I needed in this life will be made if I joined the group.

I am from a poor family and I wanted to be the light that will change the situation in my family. “She never told me that I will be defiled till the day of initiation. The day we were initiated, I was the only girl in their midst. Although, I have not started reaping the gains, I was determined to be a successful member. I was further convinced to stay because I discovered that they are more honourable than the others. I am sorry and would love to be given the opportunity to go back to school. I never knew that it is crime to be a member.

I am sorry,” Ifechukwu pleaded. Another member, Ugochukwu Agbazuo, who also spoke with Saturday Sun, said that they are all undergraduates of various institutions in Anambra. “Apart from some of our national leaders, we are all students. I was initiated into the cult while I was still in my first year. I had no choice but to join them because of the harassment in school. I discovered that most of the Engineering students in my school were members of different cult groups. “Again, if you identify with a known cult in school, the lecturers will respect you. You don’t have to buy handouts or offer bribe to get credit in a course. This was why I joined them,” he said. Ugochukwu insisted that they did not steal or harass innocent people.

Buhari Assures Military Of Needed Logistics To End Boko Haram Insurgency

President Muhammadu Buhari has assured military formations prosecuting the war on terror that his government would provide the necessary logistics needed to successfully prosecute the on-going war against the Boko Haram Terrorists.

Speaking on behalf of the President, National Security Adviser (NSA) Major General Babagana Monguno (rtd), gave the reassurance during his visit to operational areas in the north eastern part of the country in company of service chiefs and Inspector-General of Police.

“I am telling you this, and you can take it as if it is coming from Mr. President himself that you are going to be given everything you require, not only for the operations but for your personal welfare. This is an assurance I want to give you,” he told men of the Nigeria Air Force in Yola.

Monguno noted that the NAF has brought a lot of noticeable improvements in the war against the terrorists due to the aerial support provided to the ground troops.

He, therefore commended NAF personnel for their commitment and patriotism while urging them to keep the spirit high and to remain steadfast in their resolve to end terrorism.

A statement signed by Air Commodore Dele Alonge, Director of Air Force Public Relations, noted: “Against the background of the recent presidential directive to the service chiefs to defeat the Boko Haram Terrorist (BHT) group in three-months, the NSA gave the purpose of the operational visit as one to enable his team assess the situation on ground and relate with the troops with a view to adequately identify and address observed challenges facing the troops.”

Survey: Men Who Do More Housework Have Less s*x

Conventional wisdom suggests that women are drawn to men who help out around the house. Yet new research indicates that some divisions of labor may be sexier than others. A February paper in the American Sociological Review reported that married couples in which men take on a greater share of the dishes, laundry and other traditionally female chores had s*x less often than average, which in this study was about five times a month. Yet couples in which men confined themselves largely to traditionally male chores such as yard work enjoyed s*x more frequently than average.

Taken to the extreme, men who performed all the traditionally female chores would have had s*x 1.6 times less often than men who did none of them. The study authors, from the Juan March Institute in Madrid and the University of Washington, arrived at the correlation by crunching data from the National Survey of Families and Households (NFSH), which gathered survey information from 4,500 U.S. married couples. The researchers ruled out any kind of coercion on the part of the “manly” chore-performing husbands by looking at data from the same survey on s*xual satisfaction: they found that women from households with more traditional divisions of labor felt no less happy with their s*x lives than women in more gender-neutral ones.

The study has its skeptics. Its data were gathered between 1992 and 1994, making demographer Sharon Sassler of Cornell University wonder about their relevance today. “In the past two decades,” she says, “who gets married has changed considerably.” Today most couples cohabit before marrying, and a large proportion of the women in those couples, Sassler argues, are not satisfied doing a disproportionate share of so-called women’s housework. According to Sassler, frequently those couples do not marry, making the set of couples who would qualify for the NSFH today profoundly different from the set in 1992.

Study co-author Julie Brines, a sociologist at the University of Washington, says men and women have deep-seated ideas about what is masculine and feminine. Displays of masculinity may evoke feminine displays in women, which activates or intensifies s*xual charge. Put the man on a rider mower, in other words, and boom—fireworks. Stand him at a sudsy sink, and it’s a probable no go.

Jonathan Did Better Than Obasanjo As President – Prof Anya

Elder statesman and President of Ndigbo Lagos, Professor Anya O. Anya, yesterday, declared that the much-criticized immediate past administration of Dr Goodluck Jonathan was better than that of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Anya made the statement at Sam Ohuabunwa’s Outreach, in Lagos, to mark the 65th birthday of the former chairman of Neimeth Pharmaceuticals. The professor, who chaired the occasion, said it was sad that Nigerians are not learning from history.

“Once upon a time, history was a very important subject in the Nigerian education system, it got to a point when history is no longer there. If we don’t learn to stand on the shoulders of those who went before us, we cannot build as an individual, you cannot build as a community and as a nation,” Anya said.

“When you listen to our people, especially the politicians, it is as if we have learned nothing. God has been very kind to this country. It is not easy to see whether there is any common value that Nigerian leaders have which is why today you hear one thing and the next day, you hear the opposite.

“The problem now is that we are now trying to build a nation. We don’t have a nation but whether we like it or not, a nation is going to emerge out of Nigeria. And it is going to be from the contributions of Sam and all of us putting our individual experiences on the table and drawing lessons and teaching the lessons to others.

“When people put down their experiences, it keeps others informed and when you collect them, it gives you an idea of the society’s experience and from there, you can write the history of that nation. A nation without a history cannot learn lessons and build on those lessons, and the nation will be in trouble.

“This is what is happening to Nigeria today. A great nation is built by succession of generation of giants. Each generation of giants stand on the shoulders of past giants and the nation moves forward.

“Unfortunately in Nigeria, we are all in a haste to pronounce opinion and we take opinion as if it is the truth. The past government has been heavily criticized but this past government was not worse than the government before it. In fact, the immediate past government was better than the one before it. Sadly, those criticizing past government are those who were in Obasanjo’s government,” the professor said.

West Bromwich Albion have turned down an offer from Tottenham Hotspur for striker Saido Berahino.
Spurs had reportedly been weighing an offer for the England Under-21 in the region of £15m. West Brom have not confirmed detail of the figure been tabled by the north London side.

“We have no interest in selling Saido, which is what I have told Daniel Levy,” said Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace in a statement on the club’s website.

Berahino, 22, who scored 14 goals in 38 appearances for West Brom last season, is under contract at the Hawthorns until June 2017. It has however been rumoured that the Midlands side are holding out for a £25m fee for the player.

Peace added: “I know we are living in an age where no club can say ‘never’ about the possibility of selling a player. However, the prospect of selling Saido is simply not on our agenda.

“We are going forward with Saido much in our plans.”

I want to help you recreate your life going forward, so you can live beautifully. I have been through this journey of rediscovery and nothing is as beautiful as realising one’s uniqueness as I have done. Life is a precious however, your life can go through different seasons: winter, spring, summer or autumn. Life can hit you with financial loss, disappointments, death of a loved one, a broken relationship, loss of a job, a divorce, being falsely accused or being a victim of crime. These can shatter you to pieces but you can do something about it.

Life is a gift from God and you deserve to be happy irrespective of your age, race, gender, background or financial situation. My journey was not in vain. I can now help others realise that their situation does not define them.

In order to move on with life, I have come to realise that nothing is permanent. Your problem is not permanent; you can do something to change it by ensuring you do not allow the situation or the person make your life miserable. Pain is a fact of life, it is inevitable but suffering is optional. You can do something to change the pain by over looking every obstacle, take control as a force of nature to grow and expand. ‘Why I Hate Okocha’ – Super Eagles Boss, Sunday Oliseh Explains

Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has finally laid to rest rumours that he does not see eye-to-eye with his former assistant in the Eagles, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha when he said; ‘’yes, I hate Jay-Jay’’.

A reporter had asked him to clear the air on rumours that he does not see or stay in the same room with the former playmaker of the Super Eagles. The hall was like a graveyard when he made the pronouncement. He looked round and explained further. “I hate Okocha because anytime we play Tennis, he beats me.

We played at the weekend at Sheraton Hotel and he defeated me’’. He made light of the rumour that started after he was appointed coach of the senior national team. Many still believe that Okocha stabbed Oliseh in the back when he accepted the captaincy of the Eagles to the 2002 World Cup.

‘’We’re the best of friends and we played Tennis at the weekend’’, he emphasised. Okocha is currently the Chairman of Delta State Football Association and Chairman of NFF’s Study Group.

Speaking on the Eagles, Oliseh said that he was going to make the Eagles to play team football combined with individual talents. ‘’If you remember our victories in 1994 and 1996, it was based on individual talents. But we do not have such individual talents again. What we need to do is to play collectively. That is what obtains in Germany and Spain. It’s a lot of hardwork. We’re here to do our best’’, he added.
