PRESIDENT JONATHAN SIGNS NATIONAL HEALTH BILL INTO LAW

President Goodluck Jonathan has finally signed the National Health Bill sponsored by Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa into law.

The Bill, which is now an Act of Parliament seeks to provide a framework for the regulation, development and management of a National Health system and set standards for rendering health service in the country.

According to Nigeria Health Watch, Reuben Abati, presidential spokesman on Twitter said that this is a fantastic end of year present to Nigeria, given that the bill was running the risk of expiry for the second time, having made its way through both Houses of Assembly twice. This development cones as stakeholders in the health sector describes the National Health Bill as an important crossroads’ in the development of the country’s health sector.

The Act will establish a basic health care fund through deduction of an additional one per cent of Nigeria’s Consolidated Revenue Account (CRA) for primary health care. This is in addition to the expected counterpart funding contribution from the states and local government areas.

Benjamin Anyene, chairman, Health Reform Foundation of Nigeria (HERFON) board of trustees, said the implementation of the Bill will save the lives of three million women and children over a five-year period.

Anyene noted that the national health bill increases funding, addresses inequities and responds better to the health needs of the population.

“With the passage of the health Bill, health services will improve. More Nigerians especially the vulnerable group will be able to access quality services and health status and satisfaction with services will also improve.” Anyene said.

University Of Ibadan To Produce Ebola Vaccines

vaccine-production-ebola_280x186

Professor Isaac Adewole, the Vice chancellor, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, has hinted that the institution has set up a Committee on Ebola Prevention and Preparedness, to try and produce Ebola vaccine.

Nigerian Tribune reports that the Vice chancellor, while speaking at a town hall meeting in Ibadan, further revealed that the institution’s virology laboratory would be expanded and make sure it produce a vaccine that could be used to prevent Ebola.

Professor Adewole said the university had concluded plans to spearhead Ebola vaccine production, and advised residents to dispel their fears as they would be adequately equipped with necessary information about the virus.

He urged the federal government to investigate the allegation that the late Patrick Sawyer was paid to import the virus to Nigeria, and cautioned people against handshake. He also advised the public to avoid sick people as Ebola virus spreads quickly through body fluids of infected persons.

Speaking also at the town hall meeting, Professor David Olaleye, a virologist and head, UI Ebola Viral Disease Prevention and Preparedness Committee, reiterated the need for good hygiene, and pleaded with that people to avoid contact with dead animals.

Meanwhile, it is not yet known if the outcome of their research would be widely accepted as it would be recalled that on August 19, 2014, one Dr. Rima Laibow, Managing Director of US-based company Natural Solutions Foundation claimed that Nano Silver has been deployed by her team of scientists during treatment of Ebola patients in Africa before the current epidemic outbreak, but surprisingly on August 21, 2014, the same company confirmed that the said drug was not a cure for the deadly disease.

MUST READ: The Likely Cures For Ebola

CONGO-DEMOCRATIC-EBOLA_280x158

Simbo Davidson (MBBS, MPH, PCQI) who is a Public Health specialist working in a private hospital in Lagos, Nigeria has shared likely cure to Ebola which you need to know.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Premium Times, Dr Simbo Davidson has revealed some of the likely cure for the deadly Ebola disease that has killed over 673 people in Liberia and some other south western countries.

Although the Dr Simbo made it known that the current precautionary strategy which members of the public were informed about which include: hand-washing, isolation of infected persons, desisting from eating bush meats, desisting from having close contact with body fluids from an infected person amongst others can work theoretically but not practically.

The health expert made it known that those precautionary methods are avoidance methods and these kinds of method only reduce person-to-person transmission but does not guarantee a total curbing of the deadly viral disease.

The health specialist however went further to explain some of the likely solutions that can totally eradicate the pawns of Ebola. Highlighting likely solutions, Dr. Simbo said a definite high level of hygiene must be put in place. He said although the virus cannot thrive in a clean environment, it is impossible for some areas in many African countries to be so clean due to the urban slums and rural areas in major African cities.

He also said adequately manned isolation centres must be stationed at every districts or local government areas so as to combat being transferred to others from the process of burying and even being taken care of, by health workers who are not adequately informed about the deadly disease.

He concluded that the cycle of transmission can be interrupted by displacing reservoir of the virus, e.g killing animals with the Ebola disease and also protecting the " likely to be affected" people with vaccines. The Doctor however made his belief known about the positive outcome of these preventive measures and likely cures by saying this: "There is certainly no hard evidence that such an approach would be fruitless, while there is certainly compelling evidence that the outcome may be positive".

Photos: Terrifying Insight Of The Deadly Incrurable Ebola Virus

   ebola-who-know-1_280x120

It's no joke at all that this disease is killing faster than HIV. The height of it all is that it has no cure and it can be passed around easily.  A doctor who has fought the Ebola virus in Liberia where it infected two American doctors today gave a terrifying insight into how medics put their fears aside and their lives on the line to treat patients in the current outbreak taking a grip in Africa.

Sharing more photos from infected victims of how the stage 2 symptoms look like and when affected the person only lives for 21days.

Dr Spencer, who is British, volunteered for medical charity Doctors Without Borders in Guinea and Liberia - the crucible of the current outbreak which has killed more than 600 and infected around 1,200.

To minimise the risk of infection they have to wear thick rubber boots that come up to their knees, an impermeable body suit, gloves, a face mask, a hood and goggles to ensure no air at all can touch their skin. They are only allowed to work for between four and six weeks in the field because the conditions are so gruelling.
ebola-who-know-2_280x274

According to the World Health Organisation, Ebola is transmitted by direct contact with bodily fluids or by touching anything that has had them on it. It is often spread through family and friends because they come into close contact with victims as they care for them. The incubation period is two to 21 days and after that it can kill within days due to internal bleeding. There is no known cure.
ebola-who-know-3_280x191

A rising temperature, headache and sore throat are the first signs the Ebola virus is invading the body, attacking the building blocks of the immune system. As the disease progresses, victims suffer blood shot eyes, as tiny blood vessels burst, causing bleeding from the eyes, ears, mouth, and other orifices

Here are the basic things you need to know about symptoms of ebola when someone is infected.

You have a temperature and no appetite. Your head is aching and you're throat is sore. It may appear as though a common cold is lurking, but unbeknownst to you the vicious Ebola virus has started to attack your immune system.

The virus destroys the same cells as those targeted by HIV, though the Ebola infection is more aggressive, wiping out the building blocks of the body's immune system.

It has an incubation period - that is the time from infection to when the first symptoms present themselves - of between two and 21 days, increasing the risk of the highly-infectious illness spreading. As soon as a victim starts to suffer the sudden onset of the disease, the fever, crippling headache and muscle pain, they are already contagious.

The virus is transmitted through close contact with the blood, secretions, organs or other bodily fluids of infected animals.

Once a human is infected, the disease can spread quickly within a community, with health workers and family members of victims at particular risk.

Where a victim has breaks in the skin, blood seeps out, as the disease takes hold. The virus has a death rate of up to 90 per cent, and is highly-contagious, spreading through contact with an infected person's blood, secretions, organs and other bodily fluids

The Side Effects Of Overthinking

In virtually all things we humans engage in, exercising moderation is always advised.

sad_man_wor
Likewise, subjecting our brain to rigorous mental exercise or strain may become counter-productive to our well being. This article looks at reasons why excessive thinking doesn't do you much good.

YOU NEVER ACT OR ACT TOO LATE

Thinking too much means you expend much time, and when you expend much time, you do little or nothing, and when you do nothing, you end up frustrated. Excessive thinking is a lengthy activity that threatens your productivity.

DEPRESSION

So many things in life could really make one extremely depressed, from break ups that that threatens to send you to an eternal coma or joblessness that transforms you to a committed prayer warrior, among others. And just so you know, depression leads to behaviours that accelerate the aging process; for instance, depressed people are less likely to eat well, sleep well, or engage in other actions that will improve their health.

HYPER-COMPLICATION

Letting your brain do an overtime on an issue or task that really don't require overthinking it will only leave things a bit more complicated than they actually should be. Still and all, moderate thinking would still give you a simple yet accurate solution rather than trying to be an extra-terrestial genius.

BRAIN STRAIN

Incredibly, as small as our brain is, the numerous actions it performs is enough for it to demand a leave, a vacation or embark on an industrial strike when selfishly, or not properly paid its due rest. In other words, thinking too much will increase the mental
activity of the brain that leaves it strenuously strained.

How to Pick the Gender of Your Child at Conception Naturally

There are many people that would like to have a particular gender of a child. Some people have only female children, but would like a male child, while another people have only male and would like a female child.

In addition to this, most people in Nigeria and in Africa would not accept anything artificial in this process, they would like it natural.

Actually, it is possible to select the sex of your future child naturally.

If you would like to select the gender of your child, there are many methods you can use and using a combination of these methods, increases your chances exponentially and make it almost guaranteed to get your desired gender, boy or girl.

xy_chromosome_300x202

Look at the image above.

TOP: Sperm carrying an “x” chromosome unites with egg, which also carries an “x” chromosome, to produce a girl.

BOTTOM: Sperm carrying a “y” chromosome unites with egg, which ALWAYS carries the “x” chromosome, to produce a boy.

What this means is that sperm that carry the “x” chromosome produce a girl, while those that carry the Y produce a boy.

Whenever you meet with your wife, you release both the “x” and the “y”. Many people believe that it is just a matter of chance which type reaches the egg first. It is not. There are many ways by which you can influence those results by yourself.

To Get Your Choice Of Baby Gender, (Boy or Girl) Do Any Of the Below Or A Combination

METHOD 1. The Shettles Method.

Many years ago, a physician called Landrum Shettles devised this method of gender selection that has reportedly worked for thousands of couples.

The basis is that sperm that carries the “x” chromosome, needed to conceive a girl, swims slower but lives longer than sperm that carries the “y” chromosome, necessary to conceive a boy. By manipulating the timing of when you “meet” with your partner, in relation to your ovulation (egg release), the Shettles method maintains that you can encourage conception (pregnancy).

So, if you want to conceive a boy, you should “meet” with your partner as close to ovulation as possible. This would enable the faster, lighter, “y” carrying sperm to reach your egg first. If you want to conceive a girl, you should “meet” with your partner, three to five days before ovulation, and then abstain from sex. This would allow the faster but weaker ”y” male sperm to die off (the can only be alive for some days) before your egg is available, thereby leaving the path clear for the longer-lasting “x” female sperm to fertilize your egg as soon as it is available.

Also, HOW you meet with your partner can also help.

If you want a baby boy:

1. Use deep penetration and “rear entry” position which would allow the deposit of sperm very close to, or above the neck of your cervix for quicker entry into your cervix where the environment is more alkaline and easier for male sperm to survive. (Translated, it means putting the ball almost on the goal line for the sharp shooter to just tap in and score)

2. Try and achieve heavenly feeling, at the same time as your partner. This helps to achieve a more alkaline environment that favours the “y” male sperm.

Think of male sperm as Usain Bolt- Fast but cannot last in a marathon like say, Haile Gebrselassie, the Ethiopian marathon runner.

If you want a baby girl:

1. Use shallow penetration like in “missionary” position or the likes (Use your imagination to think up shallow penetration. You didn’t think I would list them all, did you?) This means you have shifted the starting line backwards (marathon) making it very difficult for the male sperm (Usain Bolt) to reach their goal. (Little wonder People easily Conceive girl babies, when this is usually the preferred position of most people. LOL)

2. Avoid heavenly feeling…if you can. It would keep the womanly environment acidic, which kills off most of the weaker male sperm before they reach their goal (egg).

METHOD 2. Stolkowski Method.

European Physician, Joseph Stolkowski Conducted studies wherein he correlated a mother’s pregnancy diet with the sex of her baby.

His Result: Women who ate foods rich in potassium and sodium (like meat, fish, vegetables, CHOCOLATE, and salt) beginning at least six weeks before attempting conception were far more likely to conceive a BOY.

Also, women who consumed foods high in calcium and magnesium,( such as milk cheese, nuts, beans, and cereals) beginning at least six weeks before attempting conception were far more likely to conceive a GIRL.

He theorized that gender can be influenced by what scientists call “ionic” factors – a type of natural electrical charge emitted by products of the earth including minerals like potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium. By manipulating her diet with the addition of certain mineral-rich (ion-charged) foods, a woman could alter her ovulation metabolism and thus influence whether her eggs attract the “x” or the “y” sperm.

In the study, 39 out of 47 couples were able to produce a child of the gender they wanted, simply by manipulating their diet.

This method is already being used by a company called- ‘Smart Stork‘ (You can Google it) They have made so much money doing this for people….something you can do by yourself for free.

On their website, they wrote: “Here at Smart Stork, we have been helping couples to conceive their preferred gender babies for over 15 years. Our success rate in gender selection? Is still over 95%!”

You can visit the website to confirm.

METHOD 3. SELNAS method.

Using Dr Stolkowski’s research, European biologist, Patrick Schoun discovered that the membrane surrounding a human egg also emits ions (an atom or molecule with an electric charge) giving off a type of electric “charge” of its own. According to him,its the energy that attracts either an “x” or “y” sperm.

He also found that at certain times in a woman’s monthly cycle, her egg is electrically “charged” to attract either the ”x” or “y” sperm exclusively. He also noted a “neutral” time in the cycle when the electrical charge surrounding an egg is dependant on environmental factors, including diet. So by coordinating your most fertile time (The 6 days before ovulation with the days when your egg is attracted to either the “x” or the “y” sperm, you can plan how to meet your partner to coincide with the conception of either a boy or a girl.

The individual calculations involved in determining the correct time was too complex, so a way to enter all the necessary scientific data about the gender selection into a computer.

Things like: menstrual history, contraception use, and reproductive history along with the preference of either a boy or a girl. The SELNAS method is thus a personalized twelve-month gender selection calendar that indicates the days on which a particular egg would attract either the “x” or “y” sperm for an entire year. SELNAS yielded a success rate of 98.7 percent! The SELNAS natural gender selection technique is available in the United States for less than $400. The company that prepares the calendar (Laboratories Prokiad International) offers a 100% money-back guarantee if you don’t get the gender you desire. (This means they are pretty sure of what they are doing)

So, if you combine more than one of these methods, you should be almost guaranteed of the gender of your choice.

Before we go to the methods and how to go about them, Let us understand a little, how the principle of conception works.

It is the sperm and not the egg that carries the genetic material (called chromosomes) that determine the sex of a child.

“Also, if you take raw eggs and they have one or two deficiencies, it goes straight into your body and the danger is high on the immune system. But if you boil or fry it, the danger will be reduced. It is advisable we boil or fry eggs before taking them.”

Also, a veterinary doctor with Funtuna Farms, Dr. Bukola Akintoye, in a presentation, explained that consuming an egg daily was beneficial to the body.

She noted that eggs were excellent and was rich in protein with potential to enhance health.

She said, “We are regularly told how important it is to eat a balanced diet; we need protein and plenty vitamins and nutrients. Fruit, vegetables and meat naturally come to mind, and when combined, these fruits can provide all these. However, one food contains them all – eggs.”

Top 10 Things That Only Women With Big Breasts Can Understand

If you've got C-cup or larger-sized breasts, chances that it feels like you permanently have a toddler attached to your body, and like most demanding children, they dominate your whole life.
Top 10 Big Boob Problems:

1. Under-boob sweat
2. Your bras being mistaken for ass-holders and/or hats
3. Budgeting to afford a bra that actually fits
4. Finding the right specialty bra shop with a correctly-trained fitter you actually trust, or at the very least, just finding a store that actually carries your size
5. Packing a larger suitcase just to fit your bras into
6. Figuring out ways to get your insurance to pay for a breast reduction
7. Demi-cup overspill
8. Shopping for clothes based on whether or not you can wear a bra with them
9. Wondering if a guy is actually looking at you or only interested in your chest
10. How not to look crazy while holding your boobs to avoid black eyes during a run

Growing Up With Big Boobs
Oh yeah, you can fill out a sweater like it's nobody's business, and you certainly get male eyes on you, but with your giant ta-tas comes a life of watching your boobs pop out of bras, shirts and dresses like they're rampaging bulls on the streets of Pamplona.

And if you think breasts don't have a mind of their own, well, honey, we really have to beg to differ. Remember when you were 12 and growing mosquito bites for the first time and were so absurdly proud of yourself?

While guys were having shin splints from growing too tall, too fast, the big-titty-committee exploded stretch marks over bean-bag boobs that hurt if you even looked at them.

I went from a training bra to a C-cup at the age of 12 and a D by my 13th birthday. It's no wonder I was mistaken for an 18-year-old, since no one was bothering to look at my face.

Fast forward through middle school and high school, where many of the less-endowed girls were all glaring daggers at you, and often not-so-quietly calling you slutty and dumb behind your back.

It often seemed everyone else was using complex algorithms dictating that the bigger our cup size, the more likely we were to spread our legs, and the lower our intelligence must be.

Meanwhile, while others were busying judging us, we were left trying to figure out how to find prom dresses that didn't make us look like porn stars, button-downs that didn't pop buttons so fast they take an eye out and attempting to get guys to look above our chin when they talked to us.

As girls with huge boobs, we are often told by friends and family to "Stop complaining. I only wish I had boobs like yours." Jokes aside, there are a lot of drawbacks.

Amidst the obvious clothing issues and drooling stares, there is also back pain, posture issues, hindrances when it comes to running and working out and postpartum inflation/stretching that we've heard only makes the situation worse.

Feeling sexy with boobs so heavy they really don't look great without a bra is a feat. I know what you're thinking -- all men love boobs, right? Well, maybe.

But with a naturally large chest, it can be hard to feel good naked, since your comfort in cleavage is stripped away when the bra comes off. Celebrities and porn stars post-plastic surgery have created the illusion that big boobs are perfectly round and stand up on their own.

Wearing a backless dress is not a problem, because gravity doesn't exist and nipples are perfectly even. Not true. Even at a young age, the giant girls sag from the sheer weight and flip-flop about in pretty much the least sexy way possible.

Not a great visual, right? We can only fear for how Left and Right will look 20 years from now.
So, the next time you think us ladies who have been blessed (or cursed) with G-cup breasts need to realize how lucky we are, remember that we are just as insecure with ourselves as women who only need a camisole.

We carry our own (very heavy) insecurities every day, too. Like everyone else, we learn how to cope with our own body image issues.

You either hide behind giant clothing and pretend your breasts aren't the first thing anyone sees, or you learn to break the ice, make the first joke and just acknowledge the elephant(s) in the room. Because if you don't, someone else will.

UCH Ibadan performs first open heart surgery

feat: The surgical team that performed the feat at University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan.
The first open heart surgery in a teaching hospital in Nigeria has been successfully carried out at the University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The feat was carried out by surgeons at the UCH in conjunction with a team of surgeons from Tri-State Cardiovascular Delaware, USA. (The surgical team that performed the feat pictured above)

A statement by the institution’s Head of Information Unit, Mr. Toye Akinrinola, disclosed that the four-hour surgery was to correct a leaking heart valve in a 19-year-old secondary school leaver.

An elated Chief Medical Director of the UCH, Professor Temitope Alonge, noted that the UCH was moved to embark on the exercise as a way of alleviating the hardship being experienced by Nigerians with heart-related challenges.

He stated that as the first teaching hospital in Nigeria, the UCH should take the lead in critical areas of medicine, propelling it into ensuring that complex surgeries (like open heart surgery) were carried out in the hospital.

“We are the pioneer teaching hospital in Nigeria, and we should be taking the lead. We are going to do this and we intend to make it a continuous exercise.

“In fact, within the next six months, we intend carrying out not less than 30 heart-related surgeries and at affordable cost to Nigerians.”

Alonge, who lamented that Nigerians pay exorbitantly to undergo such procedures outside the country, pointing out that the cheapest rate outside Nigeria was about N2.5 million.

“This is outside the airfare and hotel bills. It will run into millions. But with us here, it will be a lot cheaper and the access is there. The first surgery is heavily subsidised as a way of encouraging Nigerians to have confidence in our healthcare system.”

Alonge stated that the Federal Government had given the UCH a mandate to improve on the training of doctors as a way of enhancing more access to adequate healthcare in Nigeria.

Leader of the doctors from the USA, Dr. Kamar Adeleke noted that the patient would be back to his normal activities in less than two months.

“He does not have anything to fear about life expectancy. He will soon resume his normal activities, and do all the things he was used to before he took ill,” Dr. Adeleke said.

Adeleke gave assurance of his continued support to providing access to adequate healthcare as obtained in other developed countries.

After more than a decade of of inactivity, open heart surgery resumed in the country at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, UNTH, Enugu, at an average cost of N500, 000.

Drinking THIS Can Cure Breast Cancer

The Poultry Association of Nigeria, PAN, in the South West has said that researches have shown that drinking of raw eggs could reduce the risk of breast cancer in women, saying that there was no relationship between the consumption of eggs and heart diseases.

The body also argued that there was no link between the consumption of eggs and the quantity of cholesterol in the human body system.

Addressing the media during the World Eggs Day in Abeokuta, weekend, PAN Chairman in the South West, Dr. Olufemi Faniyi, his Ogun State counterpart, Dr. Olalekan Odunsi and a veterinary surgeon, Dr. Jide Oluwawemitan blamed the medical professionals of misinforming the public about the health function of eggs.

According to PAN, the amount of cholesterol in eggs could not influence an increase in the quantity of cholesterol in the body system.

The body argued that it had been scientifically proved that eggs contain better quality of animal protein than that found in beef, fish and pork.

Faniyi stated that the higher consumption of eggs in countries such as Japan, Mexico and the United States of America had increased the rate of life expectancy higher than a country like Nigeria where the citizens consume less number of eggs.

“If a woman can drink six eggs per week, there is a likelihood of the reduction of the risk of breast cancer by 44 per cent,” Dr. Oluwawemitan said.

“It has been proved that egg contains better quality of animal protein than beef, fish and pork. It contains a lot of vitamins and minerals for brain and memory to function better.”

No Bird Flu Infection In Eggs

The Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN) yesterday allayed public fear about bird flu in eggs.

It said there was no bird flu in eggs, promising to recall eggs laid by possibly infected hens to prevent them from being used in processed products in order to protect consumers.

President, Lagos Chapter of PAN Adedotun Agbojo said as consumers become cautious about the use of eggs, producers would everything to ensure food safety.

Agbojo, who addressed reporters on the World Egg Day in Lagos, said consumers’ safety remained an issue in the industry, adding that producers were working hard to guarantee food safety. Producers, he said, were aware of the dangers of infected poultry products, adding that they have adopted some safety measures which proved effective in controlling disease.

Agbojo said since the bird flu of 2006, the government and the industry had become more committed to ensuring the safety of poultry products. He said it was important to reassure the public that the local poultry industry has not been affected by the bird flu reported in most countries of the world.

The country, he said, had not been hit by food scandals in recent years because producers were making efforts to ensure that good ingredients were used to feed birds that produce eggs.

He said eggs were one of the most versatile foods in the market, adding that eggs have high nutrients, while its protein quality is used as the standard to measure other foods’ protein. Egg protein Agbojo said, was a great source of nutrition for growing children to build muscle.

First Aid For Snake-Bites!

Characteristics that are unique to certain poisonous snakes include:

Rattlesnakes rattle by shaking the rings at the end of their tails.

Water moccasins’ mouths have a white, cottony lining.

Coral snakes have red, yellow and black rings along the length of their bodies.

To reduce your risk of snakebite, avoid touching any snake. Instead, back away slowly. Most snakes avoid people if possible and bite only when threatened or surprised.

If a snake bites you;

1. Remain calm.

2. Immobilize the bitten arm or leg, and stay as quiet as possible to keep the poison from spreading through your body.

3. Remove jewelry before you start to swell.

4. Position yourself, if possible, so that the bite is at or below the level of your heart.

5. Cleanse the wound, but don’t flush it with water, and cover it with a clean, dry dressing.

6. Apply a splint to reduce movement of the affected area, but keep it loose enough so as not to restrict blood flow.

7. Don’t use a tourniquet or apply ice.

8. Don’t cut the wound or attempt to remove the venom.

9. Don’t drink caffeine or alcohol.

10. Don’t try to capture the snake, but try to remember its color and shape so you can describe it, which will help in your treatment.

11. Seek immediate medical attention, especially if the area changes color, begins to swell or is painful.

Private part Warts; Symptoms, Causes, Complication, Treatment And Prevention

Private part warts are one of the most common types of sexually transmitted infections. At least half of all sexually active people will become infected with the virus that causes private part warts at some point during their lives. As the name suggests, private part warts affect the moist tissues of the private part area. private part warts may look like small, flesh-colored bumps or have a cauliflower-like appearance. In many cases, the warts are too small to be visible.

Like warts that appear elsewhere on your body, private part warts are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). Some strains of private part HPV can cause private part warts, while others can cause cancer

Symptoms
In women, private part warts can grow on the vulva, the walls of the v**ina, the area between the external private parts and the anus, and the cervix. In men, they may occur on the tip or shaft of the man-hood, the scrotum, or the anus. private part warts can also develop in the mouth or throat of a person who has had oral s*xual contact with an infected person.

The signs and symptoms of private part warts include:

Small, flesh-colored or gray swellings in your private part area

Several warts close together that take on a cauliflower shape

Itching or discomfort in your private part area

Bleeding with intercourse

Often, private part warts may be so small and flat that they can’t be seen with the unclad eye. Sometimes, however, private part warts may multiply into large clusters.

When to see a doctor
See a doctor if you or your partner develops bumps or warts in the private part area.

Causes
The human papillomavirus (HPV) causes warts. There are more than 40 different strains of HPV that specifically affect the private part area. private part HPV is spread through s*xual contact. In most cases, your immune system kills private part HPV and you never develop signs or symptoms of the infection.

Complication
Cancer. Cervical cancer has been closely linked with private part HPV infection. Certain types of HPV also are associated with cancer of the vulva, cancer of the anus and cancer of the man-hood. Human papillomavirus infection doesn’t always lead to cancer, but it’s still important for women, particularly if you’ve been infected with higher risk types of HPV, to have regular Pap tests.

Problems during pregnancy. private part warts may cause problems during pregnancy. Warts could enlarge, making it difficult to urinate. Warts on the vaginal wall may reduce the ability of vaginal tissues to stretch during childbirth. Rarely, a baby born to a mother with private part warts may develop warts in his or her throat. The baby may need surgery to prevent airway obstruction

Treatments
1. Medications
private part warts treatments that can be applied directly to your skin include:

Imiquimod (Aldara, Zyclara). This cream appears to boost your immune system’s ability to fight private part warts. Avoid s*xual contact while the cream is on your skin. It may weaken condoms and diaphragms and may irritate your partner’s skin.

Podophyllin and podofilox (Condylox). Podophyllin is a plant-based resin that destroys private part wart tissue. Your doctor must apply this solution. Podofilox contains the same active compound, but can be safely applied by you at home.

Trichloroacetic acid (TCA). This chemical treatment burns off private part warts. TCA must always be applied by a doctor

2. Surgery
You may need surgery to remove larger warts, warts that don’t respond to medications, or — if you’re pregnant — warts that your baby may be exposed to during delivery.

Preventions
sing a condom every time you have s*x can significantly reduce your risk of contracting private part warts.

Vaccination now available
A vaccine known as Gardasil protects against the strains of HPV that cause most private part warts. Gardasil also protects against the HPV strains most likely to cause cervical cancer. Another vaccine, called Cervarix, protects against cervical cancer but not private part warts.

Getting Pregnant – Knowing Your Ovulation Periods Increases Your Chances Of Conceiving!

Ovulation signs and symptoms are often subtle. Still, understanding when you’re ovulating — and having s*x regularly around the time of ovulation — can improve the odds of conceiving.

Ovulation is the release of an egg from the ovary. Ovulation often happens around day 14 of the menstrual cycle, although the exact timing may vary among women or even from month to month.

Ovulation signs and symptoms may include:

Abdominal cramps. For some women, ovulation triggers mild abdominal cramps.

Change in vaginal secretions. Just before ovulation, you might notice an increase in clear, slippery vaginal secretions — if you look for it. These secretions typically resemble raw egg whites. After ovulation, when the odds of becoming pregnant are slim, the discharge will become cloudy and sticky or disappear entirely.

Change in basal body temperature. Your basal body temperature, or your body’s temperature at rest, increases slightly during ovulation. Using a digital thermometer or a thermometer specifically designed to measure basal body temperature, take your temperature every morning before you get out of bed. Plot the readings on graph paper or in a spreadsheet and look for a pattern to emerge. You’ll be most fertile during the two to three days before your temperature rises.

In addition, you might want to try an over-the-counter ovulation kit. These kits test your urine for the surge in hormones that takes place before ovulation, which helps you identify when you’re most likely to be ovulating.

To maximize your fertility, have s*x once a day around the time of ovulation — particularly during the day or two leading up to ovulation.

Ladies: Why You Must Stop Wearing Tight Panties

For women, it is almost a must to wear panties. While some go for loose panties, a large number go for tight-fitting ones just to give a s^x appeal!

If only they knew that tight undergarments pose a danger to one’s health. Some studies have shown that tight briefs in particular are actually harmful to the human body. Tight panties? Dangerous to health. How?
First, tight briefs disrupt the lymphatic system, which removes wastes and toxins from the entire body, and causes wastes and toxins not to be properly removed from the body. This is dangerous!
A potential con of wearing tight underwear, especially for women, is the increased likelihood of developing yeast infection or urinary tract infection. How does this come about? Just wear tight panties and you will discover that your v**ina does not breathe well. So, it is better to choose a size that follows your body’s contours perfectly, but not tight.

To ensure the health of the private parts, doctors typically recommend wearing breathable, somewhat loose undergarments that absorb moisture well.

Tight panties are less than ideal for sweat-inducing activities such as exercising or hiking. In addition to fostering an unpleasant odour, trapping sweat near your skin increases your risk of yeast infections and blistering along the pant seams.

When riding on a stationary bike or sitting on a weight bench, for example, it becomes difficult and risky when your panties glides off the surface designated for sitting. Even structures not intended for athletics, such as a plastic subway seat or a smooth park bench, become potential hazard against the friction-lacking texture of tight undergarments.

The other problem associated with women wearing tight panties is the irritating effect of the tight material against the skin. When a woman walks around all day wearing tight panties, the material rubs against the urethra and outer vaginal area creating areas of irritation and even small tears. These irritated areas can also be set-ups for infection. This can be a particular problem for women who are prone to vaginal or urinary tract infections.

According to health.com vaginal and urinary tract infections are not the only problem associated with wearing the wrong size of pants, they can irritate hemorrhoids and even cause an*l lacerations. Even more risky is wearing it in hot weather. Sweating combined with the close contact of the material against the skin, creates the perfect environment for a vaginal yeast infection.

After removing your undergarments, do you observe red marks? If so, chances are, your undergarments are too tight for you, and really should be changed. Dump them out like last year’s new clothes, and find undergarments, which will hug you, and fit on properly instead of giving a tightening effect.

The less they are worn the better, but if you cannot wean them completely from your underwear drawer, at least wear them in moderation, bearing in mind that a urinary tract or yeast infection is not very sexy.

Reasons Some Ladies Don’t Have Enough In Their Br*ast

Why do so many ladies have difficulty making enough milk to bréastfeed when they give birth? A new study by scientists at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Centre and the University of California Davis adds to their previous research implicating insulin’s role in lactation success.

The study is the first to describe how ladies b**bs becomes highly sensitive to:

Insulin during lactation. It is also the first study to get an accurate picture of how specific genes are switched on in the human mammary gland during lactation. The researchers used next generation sequencing technology, RNA sequencing, to reveal “in exquisite detail” the blueprint for making milk in the human mammary gland, according to Laurie Nommsen-Rivers, PhD, RD, IBCLC, a scientist at Cincinnati Children’s and corresponding author of the study, published online in PLOS ONE, a journal of the Public Library of Science.

Nommsen-Rivers’ previous research had shown that for mothers with markers of sub-optimal glucose metabolism, such as being overweight, being at an advanced maternal age, or having a large birth-weight baby, it takes longer for their milk to come in, suggesting a role for insulin in the mammary gland. The new research shows how the mammary gland becomes sensitive to insulin during lactation.

For a long time, insulin was not thought to play a direct role in regulating the milk-making cells of the human bréast, because insulin is not needed for these cells to take in sugars, such as glucose. Scientists now, however, appreciate that insulin does more than facilitate uptake of sugars.

“This new study shows a dramatic switching-on of the insulin receptor and its downstream signals during the bréast’s transition to a bio factory that manufactures massive amounts of proteins, fats and carbohydrates for nourishing the newborn baby,” says Dr. Nommsen-Rivers.

“Considering that 20 per cent of women between 20 and 44 years old are pre-diabetic, it’s conceivable that up to 20 per cent of new mothers in the United States are at risk for low milk supply due to insulin dysregulation.”

Dr. Nommsen-Rivers and her colleagues were able to use a non-invasive method to capture mammary gland RNA — a chain of molecules that are blueprints for making specified proteins — in samples of human bréast milk. They then created the first publicly accessible library of genes expressed in the mammary gland based on RNA-sequencing technology.

This approach revealed a highly sensitive portrait of the genes being expressed in human milk-making cells. They discovered an orchestrated switching on and off of various genes as the mammary gland transitions from secreting small amounts of immunity-boosting colostrum in the first days after giving birth to the copious production of milk in mature lactation.

In particular, the PTPRF gene, which is known to suppress intracellular signals that are usually triggered by insulin binding to its receptor on the cell surface, may serve as a biomarker linking insulin resistance with insufficient milk supply. These results lay the foundation for future research focused on the physiological contributors to mothers’ milk supply difficulties.

Now that they’ve demonstrated the significance of insulin signalling in the human mammary gland, they are planning a phase I/II clinical trial with a drug used to control blood sugar in type 2 diabetes to determine whether it improves insulin action in the mammary gland, thus improving milk supply. While a drug is not an ideal way to solve the problem of sub-optimal glucose metabolism impairing bréastfeeding, according to Dr. Nommsen-Rivers, it is excellent for establishing proof-of-concept through the use of a placebo controlled randomized clinical trial.

“The ideal approach is a preventive one,” she says. “Modifications in diet and exercise are more powerful than any drug. After this clinical trial, we hope to study those interventions.”

For Ladies – 7 Steps To Lower The Risk Of chest Cancer!!!

Lifestyle changes have been shown in studies to decrease chest cancer risk even in high-risk women.  The following are steps you can take to lower your risk:

1. Limit alcohol. The more alcohol you drink, the greater your risk of developing chest cancer. If you choose to drink alcohol — including beer, wine or liquor — limit yourself to no more than one drink a day.

2. Don’t smoke. Accumulating evidence suggests a link between smoking and chest cancer risk, particularly in premenopausal women. In addition, not smoking is one of the best things you can do for your overall health.

3. Control your weight. Being overweight or obese increases the risk of chest cancer. This is especially true if obesity occurs later in life, particularly after menopause.

4. Be physically active. Physical activity can help you maintain a healthy weight, which, in turn, helps prevent chest cancer. For most healthy adults, the Department of Health and Human Services recommends at least 150 minutes a week of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity weekly, plus strength training at least twice a week.

5. chest-feed. chest-feeding may play a role in chest cancer prevention. The longer you chest-feed, the greater the protective effect.

6. Limit dose and duration of hormone therapy. Combination hormone therapy for more than three to five years increases the risk of chest cancer. If you’re taking hormone therapy for menopausal symptoms, ask your doctor about other options. You may be able to manage your symptoms with nonhormonal therapies, such as physical activity. If you decide that the benefits of short-term hormone therapy outweigh the risks, use the lowest dose that works for you.

7. Avoid exposure to radiation and environmental pollution. Medical-imaging methods, such as computerized tomography, use high doses of radiation, which have been linked with chest cancer risk. Reduce your exposure by having such tests only when absolutely necessary. While more studies are needed, some research suggests a link between chest cancer and exposure to the chemicals found in some workplaces, gasoline fumes and vehicle exhaust.

For Ladies – 4 Top Causes Of A Smelly Private Part

Most women experience feminine issues from time to time. Feminine odor is especially frustrating, because it can leave you feeling unclean and gross, even if that’s not the case. There are lots of causes for feminine odor, but here are the top four culprits.

BACTERIAL VAGINOSIS
Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is the most common cause of vaginal odor. Every v**ina is filled with naturally occurring bacteria, and BV is simply an overgrowth of those bacteria. Most women in their reproductive years will experience at least one case of BV. The cause is unknown, but unprotected s*x and frequent douching can put you at a higher risk. Other symptoms include itching, soreness and discharge. Some cases of BV will go away on their own, but Planned Parenthood recommends that all women with BV symptoms visit their doctor for treatment to prevent rare but serious complications. Treatment for BV is usually as simple as a course of antibiotics.

YEAST INFECTION
A yeast infection is also very common (and very uncomfortable!). They present signs much like BV, with the addition of a thick, white discharge. Yeast infections do not require antibiotics and instead can be treated with one- or three-course vaginal anti-fungal treatments. Treatment for yeast infections has become very simple and can even be purchased over-the-counter. Most of these treatments tend to get messy, so it’s better to use them overnight.

SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES

Some STD’s can cause feminine odor, the most common are chlamydia and gonorrhea. Both diseases are common and easy to treat, but can cause serious complications if they go untreated. Unfortunately, both are also often not quickly diagnosed because they may or may not produce symptoms. The most common symptoms of chlamydia and gonorrhea include painful urination and pus-like discharge, although an unpleasant odor is often present as well. See your doctor immediately if you are experiencing any of these symptoms and avoid risk by abstaining or using protection during s*x.

PELVIC INFLAMMATORY DISEASE
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) occurs when bacteria travel through the v**ina into the uterus. It is often a late-stage result of an STD not diagnosed, such as chlamydia. PID usually is not diagnosed until you experience chronic pain or have trouble getting pregnant because often,it does not present symptoms. If symptoms of PID are present, they may include pelvic pains, odor, heavy discharge, fever, fatigue, painful intercourse or painful urination. PID can be treated with antibiotics, though it may leave behind scar tissue that has lasting effects..

If you are experiencing any of these, the best bet is too see a medical doctor for proper treatment.
