It was a heroic outing today, friday,13th, February, 2015 as Mr. Reimund Mgbakor, Personal Assistant to the distinguished senator Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, the Delta State PDP governorship flag bearer hosted members of Deltans Diaspora to a dinner at his country home in Agbor.
The meeting which had the founders of Deltans Diaspora, Mr. and Mrs. Dantes Odogwu, Mr. Smart Ikem, the National Coordinator, Com. Vincent Jude Oshiagwu, Mr. Lovely Ebonka, Mr. Nwaeke Samuel Ogorchukwu, Mr. Agoh Victor, Mr. Emmanuel Chuks Mormah, Mr. Ossai Ovie Success, Mr. Kenneth Okorie, Miss Victoria Nkem, Miss Anita Williams and Mr. Jude Bruno and other members in attendance commenced at about 8:05pm.
Mr. Reimund Mgbakor, the host, while welcoming the group expressed his utmost appreciation to them for the solidarity visit and for the recognition accorded him. In his word " I must start on a note of appreciation to the leadership of Deltans Diaspora for a wonderful job well done which has today transformed the group into the only recognised online group reaching the world for the distinguished senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa". According to him, Deltans Diaspora has, since inception, even before our principal, senator Ifeanyi Okowa indicated interest to run the governorship race, has remained committed to good governance, via online campaigns, with senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as the man best positioned to deliver such good governance to Deltans".
Speaking at the dinner on how his family founded and funded Deltans Diaspora in the United Kingdom, the founder of Deltans Diaspora, who doubles as the Director, PDP Int'l Directorate for Social Media in the Delta State PDP Campaign Organisation, Patriot Dantes Odogwu commended Mr. Reimund Mgbakor for meeting up with the requirement of his position as Personal Assistant to the distinguished senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, his commitment, consistency , steadfastness and dedication to duty. He assured Mr. Reimund Mgbakor that the group will never let him down and will continue to support and partner with him at all times to ensure victory at the poll for our principal in the upcoming general elections. Patriot Dantes Odogwu who described senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as an enigma and bridge builder said, Deltans Diaspora will not leave any stone unturned until senator Okowa becomes the governor of Delta State.
Mrs. Sophia Happiness Dantes Odogwu, co-founder and wife of Patriot Dantes Odogwu on her part described Mr. Reimund Mgbakor as a calm, loyal, humble and reliable brother and a friend who is dedicated to duty. In her words, "Reimund has been with us all along through thick and thin and I must say we are proud of him". She assured him (Reimund) that Deltans Diaspora will always stand behind him at all times.
Also at the meeting, Mr. Smart Ikem, National Coordinator of the group who gave a brief history of the political sojourn of senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, said the distinguished senator remains unequalled, unparallelled, unrivalled, unassuming and unstoppable considering his antecedents and track record as a grass root politician in a class of his own which accounted for his (Sen. Okowa) general acceptability by Deltans and the reason why Deltans Diaspora will continue to market him more to Deltans both at home and in the diaspora. According to him, there's no doubt that senator Okowa is the best man to replace incumbent governor Emmanuel Uduaghan at government house in May this year.
As the meeting came to an end, Com. Vincent Jude Oshiagwu, on behalf of Deltans Diaspora gave a vote of thanks to Mr. Reimund Mgbakor and his wife for the warm reception, stressing that more of this gathering of joy will take place again soon after the general elections which he said he's certain by the grace of Almighty God that the amiable senator will emerge victorious.
The meeting formally came to a close at about 9:45pm with a closing prayer said by Mr. Jude Bruno Jude and followed by a group photograph with Mr. Reimund Mgbakor and family.
